Battling the H1N1 Flu

Blackmon Mooring is standing by to help protect your facility from the spread of the H1N1 flu.

Earlier this year, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services declared a public health emergency in response to the spread of swine influenza A (H1N1).  As we enter the flu season, it becomes even more important to guard against the spread of the virus.

BMS CAT® and Blackmon Mooring are standing by to assist businesses and public facilities in responding to this health threat. Chris Gage, Medical Services Product Manager, said “BMS CAT® and Blackmon Mooring have crews standing by in 12 locations throughout North America.  These personnel will be available to sanitize your contents and facilities in order to minimize the spread of this potentially deadly virus.”

The acting head of the Centers for Disease Control, Richard Bessler, said that people can best protect themselves against the swine flu threat by taking precautions they were taught as kids, such as frequently washing their hands, covering one's mouth when coughing, and staying home with a fever. For more information, visit: http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/Gage advises “Areas and items that can easily transfer swine influenza A (H1N1) include computers, phones, shared electronic items, desks, chairs, and other hard surfaces.
